As
the end of the semester approaches, we’d like to take the opportunity to
highlight our graduating seniors. This is a bittersweet moment for us as we
will miss them terribly, but we wish them much success in the future. Their
contributions to our library during their time here have been invaluable to the
success of our library and appreciated more than they know.
We thought
it would be awesome for them to share a few words about their time here at the
Business/SPEA Library.
Where
are you from? I
am from Denver, Colorado
How
long have you worked at the Business/SPEA Library? I started working my freshman year, so
2020.
What
is your position at the library? Public Services Assistant
What
did you enjoy about working at our library? I
loved being a part of the Jeri Fan Club and eating Matt’s chocolate chip
cookies once a month
Do
you have a favorite library, IU or Bloomington memory? One
thing I will really miss about living in Bloomington is that as soon as the
weather gets warm enough, flowers are planted absolutely everywhere in a bunch
of different colors and everywhere you look!
What’s
your degree & major? I
am getting a Bachelor of Science in Business and my major is Information
Systems and Sustainable Business
What
are your plans after leaving IU? I
am moving back to Denver, Colorado and I am working full time at RSM as a
Technology Risk Consultant
Any
farewell thoughts to share? I
have always loved how welcoming and supportive every staff member at the
library is. I love that I can have a conversation with anyone, and it feels
like we have known each other forever. I especially appreciate that even after
taking some time off from working, I was welcomed back for my senior year with
open arms, and I actually look forward to working with the people here because
everyone is so friendly. I will miss everyone when I leave!!
Thank you, Sara for being a part of the
Business/SPEA Library team. Congratulations & Best Wishes in the
future!
