Graduating Student Spotlight -- Jemel Kerlegrand

As the end of the semester approaches, we'd like to take the opportunity to highlight our graduating students. This is a bittersweet moment for us as we will miss them terribly, but we wish them much success in the future. Their contributions to our library during their time here have been invaluable to the success of our library and are appreciated more than they know.

So, we thought it would be awesome for them to share a few words about their time here at the Business/SPEA Library.

Where are you from? Fort Wayne, Indiana

How long have you worked at the Business/SPEA Library?  All 4 years attending IU

What is your position here at the library? PSA

What did you enjoy about working at the library?  The variety of people that I meet at the front desk. Also I appreciate how kind everyone is on the staff and how I can always count on anyone who works here for advice or just a simple friendly conversation about anything!

Do you have a favorite memory of the library, Indiana University or Bloomington you’d like to share?  My favorite memory of the library will be the story time Matt gave me about the man urgently needing to get to DC, despite being in a condition in where he could barely walk himself.

What is your degree & major?  Bachelors Degree in Informatics

What are you plans after leaving IU?  I plan to have a job in the tech field or along the lines of IT Audit, IT Consulting, or Information System Security.

Any farewell thoughts that you’d like to share?  As much as I will miss IU, I will miss the SPEA Library more.  The library was a safe spot of campus many times for me through my years here at IU and nothing, but joy came from it. I will 1000% come back and visit and hopefully the innovation will be finished by then because I'm jealous. :)

Thank you Jemel for being a part of the Business/SPEA Library team. Congratulations & Best Wishes in the future!
