Lead Time for Finding Subs

Ever had to work alone at the service desk?  If so, you know it's not that much fun.  There has been a rash of last-minute, same day, sub requests in the past week or so.  When you post to the listserv at the last minute, your co-workers have little time to pick up your shift, and the chances of hours being deducted from your time bank are greatly increased.  There are, of course, times when you wake up sick or life brings you something completely unexpected that will require you to post a sub notice at the last minute.  Luckily, these occurences are the exception rather than the norm.  Most absences are caused by events scheduled ahead of time.  Whenever possible, please help out yourself, your co-workers, and BUSP's guests by posting your need for a sub to the listserv several days to a week ahead of time.
