We've been noticing multiple slips for the same rooms in our box holding slips for rooms checked out. This means at least one of us isn't following our procedures for when keys are returned. To get rid of any confusion, here is a review of what you do when a key is returned to the desk:
--Check the room key in.
--Pull the slip that corresponds to the room key from our wooden box on the top shelf.
--Check the room to make sure all is in order.
--Put your name in the "inspected by" box on the bottom of the slip and add the date and time.
--Place the completed slip in the wooden box on the middle shelf.
--Place the room key into the proper basket.
Got questions on this procedure? Please check with a supervisor. Before you know it, I-Core will be upon us. To avoid confusion and chaos, it is important that we all follow all of our procedures associated with room keys. It'll make our lives much less stressful (anybody need more stress?) and allow us to take good care of our guests.
